VAT on Petrol / Diesel Reduced

Following the inaugural event, the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister also chaired a Cabinet meeting. In a move that will bring major relief to the people of the state, CM Bhupesh Baghel led state government has decided to lower fuel prices. As per updates shared by government officials, Value Added Tax on petrol and diesel is being reduced by 1% and 2% respectively. The move will cost the state exchequer nearly Rs. 1,000 crore

Other issues including paddy procurement and the upcoming winter session of the Assembly were also discussed. Reports quoting sources had also said that discussions regarding the complete reopening of schools had taken place during the meeting.
