Ministry of Education National Institutional Rating Framework (NIRF) is a methodology for ranking academic institutions in India. The central government has published rankings of the top universities, engineering, management, pharmacy, colleges, medicine, law, architecture, dentistry, research and general categories. Indian Ministry of Education NIRF Best Universities/Colleges and Institutions Ranking is a best process to provide a competitive environment for institutions to excel in their fields. Ministry of Education NIRF 2022 Ranking List
National Institutional Rating Framework (NIRF) approved by MHRD (now Ministry of Education) and launched by the Honorable Minister of Manpower on September 29 2015. This framework outlines the methodology for ranking institutions across the country. This methodology is inspired by global recommendations established by a central committee established by MHRD, which aim to define common parameters for ranking different universities and institutions. Indicators broadly include 'teaching, learning and resources', 'research and professional practice', 'graduation outcomes', 'access and inclusion' and 'perception'.

India Rankings 2016 based on this framework were released on 4th April 2016. For India Rankings 2017, the main ranking parameters remain the same. However, there are a few significant changes in a few sub-parameters. Also, this year every large institution will be given a common overall rank as well as a discipline specific rank as applicable.
