Now people can check these toll free landline numbers, respective state email id and can register claim. For a long time, people asked for the contact details of the district agents in charge of the Good Price Stores. This is due to loopholes and corruption in the distribution of food grains through the "PDS" public distribution system; domestic.

To reduce corruption and ensure subsidized rations reach the poor, ration card complaint hotline numbers have been issued. The central government is making every effort to effectively deal with ration traders who are engaged in hoarding grain for the poor.
