The functional Science, Technology and Engineering Base Map portal of India at istem.gov.in. The I-STEM Portal was launched and country-specific by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 3 January 2020. ISTEM One Nation One Research Portal includes research and development facilities on the Map. . Users can even check-in online at the I-STEM portal, view the device list, and download the ISTEM app from the Google Play Store (for Android users) and the App Store (for Apple iPhone users). ). More than 20,000 facilities located in about 850 institutions across India have been listed on the I-STEM portal.
The I-STEM portal is specially designed to act as a portal for users/researchers to determine the specific type of facility they need for their R&D work in India. www.istem.gov.in will also allow users to identify the nearest or earliest available facility. This will give researchers access to these facilities. The participating agencies are OPSA | summer time | MeitY | TOS | MHRD.
The IP protected I-STEM portal is built and managed by the Center for Nanoscience at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. The portal was launched on the opening day of the 107th Indian Science Congress at the College of Agricultural Sciences (USAB) in Bangalore.

ISTEM One Country Research Portal
The I-STEM portal was conceptualized as a national program by the GOI Office of Chief Scientific Advisers. All academic institutions, national research laboratories, and affiliated organizations are supported with government-funded R&D facilities (in science, technology, engineering, health and agriculture) Supporters will be asked to list them on the I-STEM portal. In addition, the ISTEM portal will also serve to provide a direct inventory of R&D facilities in universities, national laboratories and industry, whether they are generated with public or private investment. .
