Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy praised Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's dedication to the welfare of the underprivileged, citing that around 10 lakh marriages had been facilitated with government assistance through the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme. He also hailed KCR Kit, Rythu Bandhu, and Rythu Bheema as exemplary schemes for the entire nation, suggesting they could be emulated across the country.

On February 13, 2022, the Minister distributed cheques to 210 Kalyana Lakshmi beneficiaries and presented Rs. 26.46 lakh worth of cheques to 56 beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Relief Fund. He emphasized that Telangana's welfare and development initiatives had garnered nationwide attention.

The Minister acknowledged that the Rythu Bandhu scheme faced criticism from opposition parties, but highlighted that over Rs. 50,400 crore had been deposited into farmers' accounts through eight editions of the initiative. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid pandemic, Chief Minister Rao ensured the seamless implementation of welfare programs in the state.

Niranjan Reddy mentioned that the TRS Government was dedicated to fulfilling the aspirations and needs of the people, introducing and executing various welfare programs accordingly. Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant should have permanent residence in the Telangana state.
• She must belong to either of the scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), backward classes (BC) or extremely backward class (EBC) category.
• The minimum age of the scheme beneficiary (bride) must be 18 years at the time of marriage. The bridegroom age must be above 21 years.
• SC Income Limit : Rs. 2,00,000/-

The state govt. is offering around Rs. 1,00,116 cheque to brides who belongs to SC / ST / BC / EBC family on their wedding.
